  11. Isn't it about time to split into smaller parts the INDEX file on Aminet? 
  12. The problem is not one of transfer time, since the administrators have kindly
  13. provided a compressed version, but one of manageability after dowloading the 
  14. file. I'm sure that a 1.5Meg file is quite a handful for the A4000 user let 
  15. alone the A600 user. I'm using 'vi' on a Sparc station to scan 
  16. thru' the INDEX file and it takes a few seconds before the file even appears
  17. on the screen.
